March for Science

uesdays at Moe’s Crosstown Tavern, 1/2 price burgers… And they were GOOOD!

Thursday night =  date night. Time for a cocktail on the Start Rooftop. Looking fancy!

At the marion square fountain

Friday: too hungry to wait for the bus, too lazy to cook. Time for another night at taco boy!

Saturday: March for Science

Our (tiny) home made signs
Jan’s Collegues
Farmer’s Market Lemonade, excellent in this hot weather

The rest of the sunny afternoon was spent by the pool, where apparently a birthday party was happening.

Next step: finding food. We went to a bar themed after Barcelona! Barsa Bar: http://barsacharleston.com/  With pretty decent Sangria, Manchego and Serrano ham AND CIABATTA BREAD. Omnomnom.

We then decided to walk to Market Street, to a cute little Dessert café ‘Kaminsky’s’ which is “open ’till late”. http://www.kaminskys.com/home. They have no Dessert menu since all of their dessert are sold so fast and randomly made. You look at the cakes/pies on the counter and pick. It looked amazing, and we both wanted 4 pieces. Thankfully we stuck with one. We had to wait for a table for about 30 minutes, but it was worth it! The people we superfriendly and we even got some free shots since we were sitting at the counter and the bartender had accidentally made too much! In 2 weeks, when we have worked off this piece we will go for the next!

Jan for scale
Jaana tried the blueberry pie and Jan went for the Mountain Chocolate Cake (which was indeed a mountain).
